Scammers are well aware of our tendency to shop frequently on Amazon and have devised this method to trick us into giving away our credit card information!
This very common scam number is targeting individuals claiming to be from Amazon to confirm a purchase of an item, which they have not actually bought. They ask you to confirm account information in order to "cancel the order", however this is just a ploy to steal your private info.
